Little Sonny
Little Sonny was born Aaron Willis in 1932 in Greensboro, Alabama. As a young man, he lived in Detroit, where he sang and played the electric blues harmonica and worked as a photographer. His first album, New King of Blues Harmonica, was released on Stax Records’ subsidiary label, Enterprise. He cut three more albums at Stax in the early 1970s, adding to the label’s blues offerings. Little Sony appeared briefly in Stax Records’ Wattstax documentary.
